Q: What do you mean by dimming to warm light?
Dim to Warm is a technology that reduces the color temperature of LEDs when dimming, allowing for smooth changes in warm white light (from 3000K to 1800K). Works to mimic the familiarity of dim incandescent lighting, and the feeling of natural light, while providing efficient illumination.
Q: How does dimming to warm light work?
Dimming to warm light has an internal control circuit that first dims the 3000K LED chip and then begins to control the current to the 1800K chip. As it gets darker, the color temperature gets warmer. Dark to Warm follows the dimming curve to simulate the dimming of incandescent lamps. This technology allows standard dimmers to provide sophisticated control and smooth, natural dimming.
Q: What is the relevant color temperature?
The color of light can be quantified by reference to its color temperature. White light is measured in degrees Kelvin (K). Most white light falls in the spectrum between 1800K and 6200K. As it drops below 3000K, the light becomes significantly warmer. At the other end of the spectrum, the lights become cooler and emit a blue tint as they rise above 6500K.
Q: How long is the product warranty?

Q: What do I need to turn on the lights?
To turn on these LED strips, you will need to connect them to a 24V low voltage power supply. The type of power supply may vary, as you can use a dimmable power supply and pair it with an AC wall dimmer, or use a non-dimmable power supply with a single color compatible controller. If desired, we recommend using our solderless clamp-on connectors to connect the strips after they have been cut to length. If you are familiar with soldering, you can continue to do so for more permanent connections, but test your expertise on a small section of strip before committing to soldering the entire project.
Q: Which power source do I need for my (x) feet of LEDs?
The length of the LED strip in your project will determine the size of the power supply you need. Check out our power supply chart to find the exact LED power supply you need.
Q: What are CRI and TLCI and why should I care?
The Color Rendering Index (CRI) measures how colors appear properly under a light source compared to natural sunlight. The index is measured on a scale of 0-100, with 100 being a perfect rating for color accuracy, which means that colors appear naturally in pure daylight. High CRI lighting is found everywhere, but is especially valuable. The bottom line: the higher the CRI, the higher the quality of the light source.
95 - 100 → extraordinary color rendering. Colors look the way they should, subtle tones pop and accentuate, skin tones look beautiful, art comes alive, background plastic and paint show it is truly beautifully saturated. You have to see it to believe it!
90 - 95 → Outstanding color acting! Almost all colors "pop" and are easily distinguishable. Obviously excellent lighting starts at a CRI of 90.
80 - 90 → Good color rendering, most colors are well rendered. You may not see the fully saturated items you want, but most people won't notice.
60 - 75 → Poor color rendering. Items and colors may look unsaturated, monotonous, and sometimes unrecognizable (can't see the difference between black and navy socks).
Q: What is lumens (lumens)?
This is the quantifiable amount of light produced by an LED strip or other product that produces light as seen by the human eye. In other words, it is a way for us to measure how much light is produced. When comparing LED strips, you need to compare lumen output as well as CRI, watts per foot, warranty and box options.
Q: Can I cut my own strips?
Yes, our LED strips can be cut to the length you want. Using sharp scissors, you can cut every 3 3/8". You will see the cut marks printed on the strip.

Underwriters Laboratories (UL) is an independent, non-profit organization that focuses on evaluating products for safety certification. This means you can use and install these LEDs in commercial spaces, industrial applications and homes knowing that these are safe products.
